While in 2022 opening a second practice to provide additional practitioners with Wilson Wellness Group, LLC.

As a professional woman, wife and mother of twins, communication and willingness to create healthy connections with one another is important. FAQ'S

MGS Counseling & Therapy Services, LLC accepts Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford and Oscar insurance providers.

Some additional providers who may be accepted with verification are AvMed, GEHA, Meritian, Harvard Pilgrim, UHC Plans, UMR, Oscar Small Health, United Healthcare Student, United Healthcare shared services and Allsavers.

In addition, we continue to take self-pay clients for those who do not want to use a third party for privacy reasons. Along with payments with Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts.

There are several reasons why many do not want to work with insurance companies. Typically, insurance will only cover couples counseling if one partner has a mental health diagnosis. When paying out of pocket, diagnosis is not necessary.

Your insurance provider will only pay for what they deem “medically necessary” and then they determine how many sessions you are allowed to have. When you privately pay, we work together to decide what is best for you.

When you use a third party, your information from our session is not confidential from your insurance provider as they require case notes and treatment plans.

It’s my personal belief that there is a therapist for everyone. I encourage all perspective clients to shop around for the right therapist. This is why I offer a free 10-minute consultation, so we can go over what your needs are and how we might work together. There is no commitment.

The law protects the relationship between therapist and client, and your information cannot be disclosed without written permission. However, there are certain exceptions.

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
  • If a client intends to harm him or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
